Willpower Strength & Rehab · Remote Coaching
1:1 Remote CoachingPerformance coaching built around CrossFit and HYROX athletes who want to eliminate joint pain, train without limits, and keep progressing — no matter where they are.
If your pain keeps coming back every time you ramp up training, the problem isn't your training — it's that nobody has actually fixed it.
This is for CrossFit and HYROX athletes dealing with nagging joint pain who are tired of scaling workouts, missing sessions, and spinning their wheels. You don't need to stop training. You need a plan that addresses the problem while you keep moving.
You rest it, it feels better, you go back to training — and within two weeks you're right back where you started.
Overhead movements, heavy pulls, box jumps — all modified. You're in the gym but you're not actually training.
Not just management. An actual answer for why it keeps breaking down, and a program built to address it while you train.
A HYROX race, the CrossFit Open, a strength milestone — your programming is built around what you're working toward, not against it.
Every coaching client gets the same comprehensive approach — rehab, programming, and ongoing support in one plan.
A clear process, no guesswork. You always know what we're working on and why.
After you sign up, we schedule a kick-off call to go deep on your history, your training, your goals, and exactly what we're solving for.
A full video-based assessment. We identify the root cause of your pain — not just where it hurts, but why it keeps coming back.
Your plan is built and delivered in CoachRx — rehab integrated into your training week, updated as you progress.
Weekly check-ins, ongoing adjustments, and direct messaging access. You keep training; we keep fixing.
One plan. Everything included. No upsells, no tiers — just the full coaching experience from day one.
"I rehabbed herniated discs and a rotator cuff tear while keeping my CrossFit and HYROX training going. That experience is behind every plan I write."
Most coaches can program. Most PTs can treat. Very few can do both — and even fewer have been through the process themselves as a competitive athlete. Two herniated discs. A rotator cuff tear. Both times, I kept training. Both times, I came back stronger.
That shaped how I work with every client. We don't take you out of the gym and hope for the best. We find the weak link, build a plan around your actual training schedule, and get you back to full capacity without shutting everything down.
I'm based in Branford, CT but work with athletes worldwide. If you can film your movement and communicate consistently, we can work together.

Most online coaches can write a program. What they can't do is screen your movement, identify why your shoulder keeps breaking down, and build a rehab protocol into your training plan. Dr. Murtagh is a licensed physical therapist and strength coach — so your programming and your injury management are handled by the same person, in the same plan.
No. Remote coaching is available worldwide. All you need is the ability to film your movement and communicate consistently. Check-ins and assessments are all done via video — the program is built and updated in CoachRx, which you can access from anywhere.
Yes. A lot of athletes come in not because something is actively broken, but because they keep getting hurt and want to get ahead of it. The movement screen often reveals the patterns that lead to injuries before they happen — and addressing them early is a lot easier than fixing them after the fact.
Almost never. The entire model is built around keeping you training. Your program is built on top of your existing schedule — not instead of it. We make intelligent modifications where needed, load things progressively, and build capacity while we address the root problem.
Most athletes notice meaningful improvement within the first 3–4 weeks. Full resolution depends on how long the issue has been present and how consistently you execute the plan — but the goal is always to get you back to full capacity as fast as possible, not to stretch out the process.
Multi-month plans are paid upfront. If you need to cancel early, the amount paid is recalculated at the standard monthly rate of $350/month — you'll be refunded the difference for any unused months.
